With school starting soon, Tobias & Comer Law is teaming up with FOX10 News and other partners to make sure students have all the supplies they need by participating in ‘Operation Backpack’. Now through the end of July, we are asking businesses and/or individuals to donate school supplies for local students in need. The donated supplies will be available to children in need through the Mobile and Baldwin County Department of Human Resources.
“We grew up in this community and it’s extremely important for us to be able to give back,” said Bryan Comer. “Each child here deserves the opportunity that the school system affords, and being here in the community, we’re just happy to support it.”
Attorney Desi Tobias echoed Mr. Comer’s comments, adding, “We take very seriously the importance of education and our role in helping in the community. This donation drive is an example of how we can come together and equip area students for success.”
Lacey Smith said, “As parents ourselves, we understand how important it is to kids to start off with these they need so they can have that confidence entering the school halls every single day, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to help with that.”
You can drop off donations at Tobias & Comer Law at 1203 Dauphin St. in midtown Mobile, Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm; or at the FOX10 Studios, 1501 Satchel Paige Drive.
“Operation Backpack” runs through July 31.
